On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Soukra hosted an evening of Art, Fashion, and Tunisia, at internationally-renowned Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco. Over 60 guests shopped the newest collections in home decor and fashion from Tunisia, enjoyed Tunisian wine and lite bites, and viewed the multimedia artworks of Wardell Milan.
Soukra founder Pauline spoke about the importance of seeking out different perspectives and pursuing the unconventional, whether it’s in art, fashion, or design, and how Soukra works closely with Tunisian creatives who collaborate with artisan communities across the country. This leads to economic opportunities for two sectors in Tunisia, shared knowledge in Tunisian heritage and culture, shared interest in preserving and promoting Tunisia’s craftsmanship, and sustainable production between the creatives and artisans given the proximity between ideation, creation and craftsmanship.
