We were thrilled to return to Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco on Thursday, October 9, 2025, for our second annual gathering. Over 60 guests shopped the newest collections in home decor and fashion from Tunisia, enjoyed Tunisian wine and light bites, and viewed two exhibitions, Peter Hujar: The Gracie Mansion Show Revisited and Katy Grannan: Mad River.
The evening included a special conversation between Margot Norton, Chief Curator at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA), and Pauline Eveillard, founder of Soukra, on the creative energy shaping Tunisia today and the ways both Margot and Pauline act as cultural mediators, offering platforms for Tunisia’s artists and designers to reach broader audiences.
The evening was a reminder of why Soukra exists — to create space for dialogue and discovery, and to celebrate the craftsmanship and creativity that continue to define Tunisia’s cultural identity. Hearing the curiosity and enthusiasm from everyone in the room was deeply inspiring.
