Fakher Baklouti
Round Olive Wood Serving Board
Handcrafted in the Mediterranean city of Sfax, this round olive wood serving board showcases the striking grain patterns that make Tunisian olive wood so prized. Fakher Baklouti gives retired olive trees a second life, transforming each piece of wood into a functional object that celebrates the beauty of the natural material.
No two boards are alike. The rich swirls, knots, and warm caramel tones are unique to each piece, revealing the character of the olive tree from which it was carved. Use it to serve cheeses, fruit, pastries, or appetizers, or display it as a decorative accent in the kitchen.
Tunisia's olive-growing tradition dates back to Roman times and remains an important part of the country's cultural landscape today.

Third-generation artisan Fakher Baklouti inherited his craft from his father, who learned it from his father. The family business? Wood working, transforming Tunisian olive trees into rich amber bowls and platters that almost seem to glow. “It is our family heritage,” Baklouti says of his profession. “This is not simply a work that I am practicing with my hands. It’s a passion, a love story!”
