TINJA
Kairouan Terracotta Vessel
Handcrafted in northern Tunisia, this sculptural terracotta vessel draws inspiration from ancient ceramic forms found at archaeological sites near Kairouan, one of the country's most important historic centers.
Created in collaboration with artisans who have passed their ceramic traditions from mother to daughter for generations, each piece is shaped and finished entirely by hand. Its elongated silhouette, small loop handle, and richly textured dark brown surface evoke the timeless beauty of archaeological objects while remaining distinctly contemporary in form.
Equally striking displayed on its own or grouped with other sculptural vessels, this one-of-a-kind piece reflects Tinja's approach to design: honoring traditional craftsmanship through a modern lens.
Each piece is unique and may vary slightly in form and finish.
