Traditional Tunisian Chechia in Night Black
The traditional hat of Tunisia, the chechia is far more than a simple felt cap. For centuries, artisans have crafted chechias using a meticulous process that remains largely unchanged today: wool is crocheted, felted, brushed, dyed, and shaped by hand until it emerges as a graceful, sculptural form.
Made by Mohamed Ali Troudi, one of Tunisia's last master chechia makers, each chechia takes nearly four months to complete. The result is a refined piece of wearable heritage that reflects generations of craftsmanship and tradition.
