Les Trois Chameaux
Women’s Cobalt Suede Balgha Slippers
Also known as babouches, these handcrafted women's balghas are made in Tunisia from cobalt blue suede leather and rooted in centuries of North African craftsmanship. Made by Les Trois Chameaux, they are the slippers you'll reach for every morning—lightweight, comfortable, and effortlessly elegant.
The vibrant blue hue evokes Mediterranean skies and painted shutters along Tunisia's coast, bringing a fresh burst of color to everyday life. The minimalist silhouette feels equally at home beside the bed, in a reading nook, or while entertaining at home. Crafted from structured suede that gradually softens and molds to the foot with wear, these traditional slippers become increasingly comfortable over time, elevating everyday rituals with timeless design and enduring craftsmanship.

The creative force behind Les Trois Chameaux is Souheil Fitouri, a fifth-generation balgha maker who learned to craft the classic Tunisian slipper from his father, master balgha maker of the Tunis medina. Today, Les Trois Chameaux preserves Tunisia’s sartorial heritage and adds a dash of inspiration, working with young artisans and designers to adapt the traditional footwear to contemporary fashion and export it beyond the Mediterranean to Europe and the U.S.
