Flaÿou
Checkers Board Game – Neon Blue
In stock
Flaÿou’s checkers set features original designs with strong Amazigh (Berber) influences that complement the shape and style of the traditional pottery of the Sejnane region, where local artisans have worked with clay for more than 3,000 years. Each board and its pieces are crafted entirely by hand, from the extraction of local clay to the shaping, outdoor firing and coloring. Each game arrives in a pizza box along with a notebook about the collection, and bags for the pieces. As seen in Madeline O’Malley’s Architectural Digest Gift Guide.

Founded by Hella El Khiari and Thomas Egoumenides, and now led by Hella, Flaÿou is a Tunis-based integrative design studio specializing in object, graphic, and environmental design. One of its standout collections, Chich-Bich—named after the regional term for backgammon—celebrates the game through a series of playful board designs. Inspired by Egoumenides’ passion for backgammon and the rich pottery traditions of Sejnane, where artisans have been working with clay for over 3,000 years, the collection blends heritage with contemporary design.
